Government Agencies
- Queensland Department of Justice and Attorney-General is the Queensland Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages, which keeps records of all births, deaths and marriages that have occurred in the State since 1829.
Archives
- Queensland State Archives is custodian of the State's largest and most significant collection of government records and is an invaluable research facility for those researching their family tree, local history or other area of special interest.
Libraries
- State Library of Queensland is Australia's custodian of Queensland documentary heritage and includes resources for family and local historians, a reference collection, and the John Oxley Library, specializing in the history of Queensland, and many other collections. Also part of the library is Picture Queensland, an extremely valuable source of historical photos of the state.

- Rosewood Scrub Historical Society The aim of the society is to collect and record items of interest in order to preserve the history and heritage of this region.

- Queensland Family History Society Inc. has a large range of important publications including Emigrants from Hamburg to Australia by Eric & Rosemary Kopittke.

- Judy Webster's Genealogy Advice Judy is a professional researcher who specializes in work at the Queensland State Archives. Judy has done excellent work for me, and I highly recommend her work. Her web page is also full of useful information.

- David Horton and Kerry Raymond's web site has many genealogy resources for the researches in SE Queensland. Especially important is their extensive photo documentation and transciption project of memorials and headstones of SE Queensland cemeteries.
