Family Histories
Family histories, often informally published, are sometimes hard to find, but are a great source of information. I'm luck to have a few that cover me family. Many thanks to the people that spent a large amount of time producing these documents!
MOLLER
Compiled by Merle Faulkner
Published about 1989 it covers the Moller family, specifically the descendant of Heinrich MOLLER 1840-1918 and Wilhelmine WOLTER 1848-1923. Has great stories about Heinrich and Wilhelmine, and each of their children, and comprehensive family tree to the current generation at the time of production. Informally published.
The Lobegeiger Family 1861 - 1981
by Dorothy Ann Hicks
A companion to the The Lobegeiger Family Re-Union, is a comprehensive family tree to the current generation at the time of production of the descendants of William LOBEGEIGER 1820-1902 and Caroline WITTE 1818-1889. I assume it was compiled by Dorothy Ann Hicks in 1981. Informally published.
Lobegeiger Family Re-Union 1861 - 1981
by Dorothy Ann Hicks
I was fairly young when I went to this re-union with my parents. I remember old Mr. Lobegeiger playing his button accordion, which I though was much cooler than the big piano accordion I was trying to learn from Mr Billy Bode. This books provides a great deal of information about the early generations of Lobegeigers in Australia. Informally published about 1981.
The RAABE Story (1863 - 1988)
by Yvonne Hoare and Valarie Hillier 1988
Published 1988 ISBN 0 7316 2388 6
A comprehensive history of Johannes RAABE 1808-1871 and his wife Katharina DETSCH 1812-1871, and their descendants. Includes comprehensive family tree to the current generation at the time of production and copies of some source documents, and fascinating stories about early generations. Formally published, details above.
If you know of any family histories relevant to my family research, please contact me and let me know. I would appreciate it very much.
